Disneyland pauses sales of Magic Key passes.

For the time being, Disneyland has stopped selling its last remaining tiers of Magic Key passes, indicating that the park no longer sells annual passes.

The sale of all yearly passes at the Disneyland Resort has been halted as the theme park seeks to reduce crowding at the start of the popular summer travel season. Passes flew off the digital shelves when they first went on sale in early 2021, but it wasn't until late October 2021 that the top-tier Dream Magic Key Pass "sold out" and was no longer available.

According to Disneyland officials, the $649 Enchant Key and the $399 Imagine Key are no longer available for purchase as of Tuesday, May 31. Last August, the Magic Key program was launched with four price categories; the $1,399 Dream Key sold out in late October, and the $949 Believe Key did the same in late November.

Magic Key passholders will be allowed to renew their passes to some extent, however details on renewals will be published at a later date, according to Disney officials. Magic Key holders can continue to use their passes to make park reservations, subject to their pass's blockout dates, and to get discounts on food and goods, among other things.

Disneyland's yearly pass scheme terminated in January 2021, while the park was closed for 412 days due to the COVID-19 epidemic. The yearly pass program, which allowed passholders to visit the park on any date that their pass was valid, contributed to the park's overcrowding.
