3D Character in Blender 4.4 - UV Unwrapping Tutorial

In the previous video, I was teaching you how to make a 3D character in Blender. Now it is time to add a UV map that will be useful for texturing.

The cube projection can create a UV map that is almost identical to your 3D model, but it looks very randomized and confusing. When you select a part of the mesh, you can see overlapping.

In order to create a more clear, detailed UV map for your model, that will be easy to paint in texture paint mode, you need to use this option: Project from View. This option can be useful for defining a specific range for your model.

This method can be useful to define clear ranges of your UV map, so you should use it if you need a UV map that will be easier to modify and you should think about it like using a software for drawing. All changes that you make in the texture painting mode will be applied to the UV map of your character, so you will need to save the texture image.
