Anyone Can Climb Kilimanjaro: Tips and Tricks for Success

Описание: Climbing Kilimanjaro is not a thing for beginners. However, with some tips and tricks, the difficulty can be reduced a ton, and you'll surely summit the mountain. In this climbing Kilimanjaro documentary, we take the Lemosho route, which turned out to be a great idea.

Our Bottom Line Up Front:

Kilimanjaro cost - we paid $1800. Some western owned companies charge up to $5000. We honestly did not see a difference between a local budget company that we booked with vs one of the expensive companies. We had great food, great people, and really enjoyed it.

In this video, you see the Lemosho route. It's the newest of the routes, and takes 7-9 days (we did it in 7). Some routes are faster, and thus more affordable, but the success rate plummits to 25-30% for the 4-5 day hikes. Lemosho has about a 90% success rate and is considered by far the most scenic.

The toilet sheds at each camp are disgusting. They are just holes in the ground. We paid an extra $50 per person for the private toilet and it will make your journey so much more enjoyable and comfortable - just spend the money and go for it.

Kilimanjaro is truly an awesome thing to do, a bucket list item, there's nothing cooler than saying you've climbed one of the 7 peaks and the tallest free-standing mountain in the world.
