In this video, I discuss the possibility of reversing pre-diabetes and early-stage type 2 diabetes. Pre-diabetes is a condition where blood sugar is higher than normal but not high enough to be diagnosed as type 2 diabetes. I explain that pre-diabetes and early-stage type 2 diabetes can definitely be reversed if there are enough functional beta cells. However, if you wait for too long, until all the beta cells are dead or dysfunctional, then reversal is impossible.

I also discuss how overeating unhealthy foods, especially refined foods, can lead to insulin resistance and make your beta cells tired, and how diet and increasing glucose uptake through exercise can help reverse pre-diabetes and early-stage type 2 diabetes. Medications can also be used to reduce glucose and insulin resistance for those who don't want to change their diet or exercise.
