Hi!! Welcome back to my channel..
Today, in this video I am going to show you how I created “Tim Hortons Coffee Cup” Cake.. Actually, a few days ago I made this cake for a special client for her birthday. Her mother sends me the picture of this coffee cup cake and asked me to make the same, it is her daughter’s birthday and her favorite flavor French vanilla, and the cake should taste the same.
I did some research about vanilla and French vanilla.. Later decided to make a vanilla cake with real vanilla bean and fill the cake with a white chocolate butter cream flavored with coffee and vanilla beans. I will be uploading the white chocolate butter cream recipe soon; it is a nice creamy, velvety smooth buttercream which is good for fill, frost and decorate a cake or a cupcake..

The vanilla cakes, baked were baked and left it in the refrigerator so that the cakes get firmed up and easy to carve into the shape of a cup. I baked four, five inches cake and a four inch cake.
Next, I filled the cakes and left it in the refrigerator till it gets firmed up. A bubble tea straw is inserted into the cake just to keep it sturdy.
Once the cake got chilled and firmed up in the refrigerator, I started carving it down to that cup shape.
The cake is now upside down, after carving to get the cup shape top should be broad and bottom should be narrow. I carved the cake upside down, broader side down and narrow side top.. OH!! Totally confused.. Never mind please watch the video to get a correct picture.. Yeh, that’s better..
I carved and carved the cake until I got satisfied with the result. POOH!!..
Then, started the crumb coating the cake. The cake is quite a tall cake around 8 – 8 and half inches tall. I used my handy dandy small spatula. I gave the cake a good coat of buttercream; yes the same white chocolate butter cream, but this time, without the flavorings. To give it a good coat of buttercream I went around the cake bottom to top, top to bottom. Then let the cake chill in the refrigerator before giving it the final coat with the buttercream.
Once the final coat of buttercream is done refrigerate until firm to touch..
Now comes the fun part, the cake is covered in buttercream and ready to become the COFFEE CUP… HA.. HA!!.
Few things I did a head of time were; prepared the modeling chocolate a head of time with dark chocolate and white chocolate, which is colored in burgundy color; and took the print out of the logo on wafer paper.
Rolled out the burgundy colored modeling chocolate and attached it around the cup cake. OH! Before that turned the cake, narrow side down. Using dark modeling chocolate I created the lid of the cup, tried to include the details on the cup, it somewhat worked.. I think so..
Using sugar glue attached, the logo printed. Cut out Tim Hortons name using alphabet cutter glued it lengthwise along the side of the cup.. Few other details on the cup..
