Can you believe a 5 minute song still wasn’t enough for all the details and connections I wanted to include?

As soon as I heard this song, I knew it belonged to Katniss. I tend to get around 85% of the inspiration for my edits from the music I choose which is always where they begin - the song is the first thing I will decide on and I work around it. I listen to the track multiple times and take into account the lyrics, the melody and then work on pairing them with my knowledge of the franchise. This is actually why I don’t edit too wide a range of videos - I only edit what I really know / feel passionate about in order to produce an edit that I’m proud of.

This is actually my very first edit using Final Cut Pro! Learning new video editing software is always very daunting and it definitely took me longer than usual to create this project due to not really knowing where all the buttons were - I owe so much to YouTube tutorials and definitely would not have finished this project without them! I’m super excited to see what else I can create with this absolute powerhouse of a software while staying true to my original style of editing, of course.
