Anna is the personal sub-boss for Nina. She is an immediate playable character in this version of the game.

Alternatively you can also select her through the use of a secret command/code, shown below:

===== ALTERNATE WAY TO SELECT ANNA =====

On the character select screen, do and press the following input commands:

Highlight Nina, Left, hold Start, Right, Left, Left

If you've done it correctly, Anna will be selected.

===== ABOUT ANNA =====

As the younger sister of Nina, she plays a semi-important role in the series, as well as providing some visual satisfaction for players. Her relationship with Nina is all about the sisterly rivalry, but away from that, her personality contrasts her sister. Anna is the "neglected sister", but this isn't really referenced to much.

In Tekken 2 she appears with a more "realistic" in-game body structure, most notably her shoulders, which isn't permanently "shrugged up" anymore like it was in Tekken 1.

===== GAMEPLAY =====

She is a derivative of Nina. She does have some moves which are unique to herself, such moves includes a low hand sweep, a hand thrust strike, a 3-hit slap combo, an unblockable move called the Bloody Scissors, and some new chain throw combos. She is also able to perform Marshall Law's backflips, something that Nina has never been able to do.

===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / TRIVIA =====

---- Her Stage 8 personal boss is Nina Williams, and vice-versa.

---- In the PS1 version of Tekken 2, when she is not operating as a sub-boss, her stage BGM is the King George Island theme ("Almost Frozen") from Tekken 1.

---- She is also known as the Scarlet Lightening since Tekken 2.

---- Anna is 1 of only 4 characters to appear in all but one Tekken game at this time of writing. The game she is not present in is Tekken 4.

===== ABOUT ARCADE TEKKEN 2 Ver.B =====

This is an upgrade to Ver.A that adds some new moves; refines and balances out the gameplay; as well as having a more noticeable indication of the boss characters being available for selection. It seems that in the latest and last revision D (Ver.B, revision D) of the game, all the boss characters are immediately available on the character select screen (besides CPU Kazuya of course).

The input commands to select the sub-bosses from Ver.A works in this version of Ver.B.

However in some earlier revisions of Ver.B, only two of the sub-bosses (Wang and Armor King) are initially available, and the sub-boss hidden input commands from Ver.A does not work.

You can generally distinguish between Ver.A and Ver.B of the game by seeing what colour the winning icons (after a Round is won) under the lifebar are. If they are Red then it's Ver.A; if they are Green then it is Ver.B.

Interestingly, it should also be mentioned that in the Arcade versions of Tekken 2, there is a setting in the options/operator screen that allows you to set either Baek or Jun as the regular character on the character select screen.
