Battle Cats - Relic Citadel (Mid-UL Version)

Описание: Note: This map will only show up once you’ve beaten An Ancient Curse.

Despite popular belief, this Citadel can be beaten without stuff like Luza and Naala TFs. In fact, most of this video won’t use any UL Legends at all. I caved in on the last stage and used Doron, but it might be possible without Doron too. Also, I am not using Cone or Uril’s TF here.

Floor 1 - 0:00
Basically Annin Pass with Relic Doges. If you can’t beat an Oldhorn, what are you even doing.

Floor 2 - 0:48
Loris and Othom combo with Sir Rels. Pretty easy to stall the stage with Research Future and chip the Relics down with Fishman and whatnot.

Floor 3 - 1:50
Lowkey with waves of Relic Doges and Sir Rels. Mecha Bun actually works amazingly here and cuts down the time needed to beat the stage by a lot. Otherwise, you can always just use different tankers, A. Baha, or Cyberpunk to chip down Lowkey.

Floor 4 - 3:09
M. Ost with Oldhorns. Uril can easily control the stage while Slapsticks and Mina deal with the enemies here. Ururun is another good choice here to sometimes KB the Oldhorns so they don’t get away from Uril’s Surge sweetspot.

Floor 5 - 5:18
Loris and Othom combo with Sir Rels. Wait… didn’t we see this before? Oh, now there are Puffingtons. A well-timed Idi can instantly clean up this stage, otherwise Cyberpunk is always a good option for these kinds of stages while you chip down the enemies here.

Floor 6 - 7:41
Relic Bun Bun appears as a base hit boss alongside Oldhorn and Othom with Relic Doges as peons. Uril and Mina can deal with this stage for the most part. Using Naga and Slapsticks for extra support makes this stage a free win.

Floor 7 - 9:42
This is where Relic Citadel really picks up the pace. 2 M. Osts and a Golem Sunfish appear as base hit bosses with Relic Doge and Sir Rel as very infrequent support. This stage doesn’t give you much cash to work with, so Research Future is your best bet for cheap meatshielding so you can keep spamming Slapsticks for the M. Osts. Golem Sunfish prevents you from getting a huge stack going and renders units like Mina nearly useless. Let Slapsticks carry you to victory. Weaken talent on Slapsticks makes the stage easier, but probably isn’t needed.

Floor 8 - 12:09
Primeval Cyclone appears as the stage’s boss after a short timer with support from Haniwanwan, Sir Rel, Relic Doge, and Loris. Try to kill the first Haniwanwan with Can Can before Primeval Cyclone appears. After that, do what you need to do to protect your CC units against the Loris as you burst down Primeval Cyclone. Masked Grandmaster does great Wave damage to the Loris, giving your CC units more time alone with Primeval Cyclone. Once the Cyclone is down, the stage is won.

Floor 9 - 13:38
This stage is why most people believe this citadel can’t be done without Ubers or UL Legend TFs. The stage starts off with an immediate Othom and Oldhorn. Use Idi to take out the first Othom. In my case, I was able to snipe double bounty off of the Othom with Can Can. After that, Idi should get another 2 hits on Oldhorn and you can burst down the rest of its HP stacking Can Can, Courier, Slaps, and LKD on it. Shortly after, Ancient Magamojoe spawns as the main boss alongside another Othom and Oldhorn. Time your Bolt so it interrupts Magamojoe and Othom before they can get a hit. It’s ok if Magamojoe gets the first hit of its Multihit in, but Othom getting a hit will ruin your stack. You should be able to score a KB on Magamojoe right away and start chipping at Othom. If Othom dies, you’re in a good position. If you get lucky like I did and have Magamojoe spawn few Surges, you can even take out Magamojoe now with your Slaps stack. By this point, Puffington should be entering. If Magamojoe is still alive, save Idi until you can get a clean shot on the Puffington and allow Magamojoe to rebound Idi for more hits. Be mindful of your cash as there are no peons in this stage for a cash boost. Once Magamojoe is down, the stage is basically won.

Top Floor - 16:38
Ok, this is the REAL reason why most people believe this citadel can’t be done without Ubers or UL Legend TFs. Sir Rel, Relic Doge, and Haniwanwan spawn as peons throughout the stage, and on base hit, Golem Sunfish and Iguanidae Ibilujon will spawn as bosses. Luckily, Research Future is able to stall both bosses as long as your other units can take care of the peons. Can Can, Courier, Bullet Train, and Cutter are great for chip damage. Doron is great for buying time for your units to deal damage, even with the risk of Countersurge. Once Pickle is gone, you’re home free.
