This clip features genuine gameplay from my latest livestream where I am running my dedicated Ghoul build. Unlike the popular "Bloody" builds that rely on low health and Unyielding armor, my Ghoul relies on pure radiation healing and damage resistance. But as you'll see, high stats don't protect you from a heart attack when a Feral Ghoul decides to pull a "Here's Johnny!" moment on you.
The Lore of Whitespring: A History of Horror
For those new to the channel or the lore of Fallout 76, the Whitespring Resort (and specifically the Golf Club featured in this video) has a dark history. Pre-war, it was the premier vacation destination for America's wealthy elite and politicians. Beneath the manicured greens lies the Enclave bunker, the shadow government of the United States.
When the bombs fell, the automated services kept running, but the guests who couldn't make it into the bunker were exposed to massive amounts of radiation. This transformed the once-exclusive club into a hive of Feral Ghouls. The reason we see so many "Charred" and "Glowing" ones here is due to the frequent nuclear strikes by players targeting the area for flux and legendary farming. It is a tragic irony that the place meant to be a safe haven for the rich became a radioactive tomb.
Playing as a Ghoul: Mechanics & Strategy
Since the "Ghoul Within" update in March 2025, players have had the chance to turn their Vault Dwellers into Ghouls. This fundamentally changes how you play Fallout 76.
Radiation is Life: Instead of avoiding rads, I embrace them. Radiation heals me, granting me specific buffs.
No Bloody Build: I’ve mentioned before that I have never used a Bloody build. Playing as a true Ghoul allows for a tankier, more aggressive playstyle without hovering at 20% health.
Feral Aggression: Many people ask, "If you are a Ghoul, do Feral Ghouls still attack you?" As this video proves—YES. Ferals have lost their higher brain functions; to them, you are just another rival for territory or food, regardless of your skin condition.

Why I Love This Game
I currently in Fallout 76 play as a ghoul because it offers a unique perspective on the world. It fits my love for roleplaying and taking something "monstrous" and using it for good (or at least, for survival). As a caregiver in my daily life, I often deal with the unexpected, but nothing prepares you for a Feral Ghoul launching itself at your face at 2 AM!
