LAOS - Worth visiting Kuang Si Waterfall in Rainy Season? Manson time in Asia + INFO

Advertised as the most beautiful waterfall in the country, this 60m water drop into a few levels of water pounds, gets lots of touristy attention.
Mostly for its turquoise waters.
Yes, you read that right... turquoise water... but apparently NOT in the rainy season 🤦🏻‍♀️ which is from around July to October.
It is still a beautiful place and not as crowded during these months, but for sure a bit disappointing. 😅

To get to it you can get a return shared mini bus ride from Luang Prabang. All the hotels sell this $5 ticket and pickup is from/ to the hotel.
🚌 Ride takes about 45 min, but it's super bumpy, as the roads are in the most terrible state l have ever seen. 😬 🕳 The potholes are so many and so deep that it feels like riding on a boat, not on a road. 🤢

🎟 At the waterfall you need to get a ticket for about $1.3. It includes a tuk tuk ride to the entry of the park/ forest.

🐻 The park also includes a bear sanctuary. You can see them napping in hammocks 🥹 or just walking around the protected area.

There are a few different levels of water pools, in some you can even go in to have a dip.

The mini bus driver will be back in about 3h to take the same group to the hotels in Luang Prabang.
That's more than enough time to explore the park, swim and grab a bite. There's a very decent priced restaurant inside the park and many local stalls at the entrance of the park.
