In this video I travelled from Shanghai to Beijing in Luxury Business Class in Airbus A350-900 with China Eastern Airlines. The ticket for this 2-hour flight in Luxury Business was RMB 8800, which is roughly USD $1200.
The Luxury Business Class was previously marketed as First Class like the First Class on their Boeing 777-300ER, however, China Eastern Airlines decided to create a new cabin class and marketed them as Luxury Business Class for the 4 huge suite cabins in the first row of their Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 787-900 aircrafts.
The new cabin class (subclass U) can only be purchased by cash, you cannot use your miles to redeem or upgrade to this cabin unlike the first class.
These suites are selling at a price very close to full price first class tickets therefore you will usually find these suites empty for most of the flights.
