Founded in 1935, National Comics Publications, now DC Comics, Inc. was one of the earliest publishers of this new commercial, storytelling medium; comic books. Over the next 5-10 years, their comic books debuted iconic characters and teams such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Justice League of America, and the Teen Titans, and is considered the originator of the American superhero genre.

This is the DC CHRONOLOGY. This series is numbered “00001” for the very first published book, “New Fun #1,” and continues in sequence with each book DC published. At the end of the year 2000, the chronology was at #27,247. It is a very complete chronology, but you will see some missing issues such as very early, very, very rare comic books have not had a copy scanned into a computer graphics image yet, or maybe because there is no copy of the book left. Notice that I start with “00002.” That’s because we don’t have a copy of “00001 “New Fun #1.” Other early issues were preserved on microfiche, and the quality of these issues can be anywhere from Illegible to Pretty Good, although the average will be in the region of Poor. However, I will post even these videos/books just to be a Completest.
