lets see what gallium does to this coke can. Gallium is a metal used in many appliances at home including, micro electronics and microwaves. Gallium melts at room temperature and has the capability of breaking apart the aluminium bonds when it comes into contact.
In this video i will be putting gallium onto the top of a coke can to see what happens. The can should in theory disintegrate however you will have to wait and see. You can buy gallium from lots of places which makes this a cool experiment to try at home.
The gallium liquid metal should eat into the aluminium and degrade it. its pretty cool. not only can you hold molten metal with your bare hands its also fun to see what it can do to things too.
