Royal Gorge, Colorado is a 4-million-year-old canyon carved by the Arkansas River. In 1929 engineers built what was at the time the world's tallest bridge, standing over 1,000 feet above the raging water below. The original bridge was created in 1929, and was rebuilt in 2013. The park now also boasts North America's highest zip line and single-use gondola.
