This year, the Elevate Prize Foundation recognized ‪@kerrywashingtonvideo‬ with the 2026 Elevate Prize Catalyst Award for her career-long commitment to storytelling and civic engagement 🏆

During the panel, Kerry sat down to discuss solutions to protect our democracy, and announced that she will join Season 2 of Nevertheless: Democracy Defenders as an Executive Producer, alongside her production company Simpson Street. The season will spotlight Yordanos, Hannah, and Koketso - fearless defenders of democracies around the world.
