SAN ANTONIO -- It's not a good sign when health violations add up to 35 demerits at any place. When it happens health inspectors make multiple visits until the problems are corrected.We found Evans Groceries on Encino Commons off 281 north had some problems after health inspectors spotted produce that needed to be tossed out.Inspectors also pointed out dirty food contact surfaces and accumulated food debris on meat cutting equipment. I checked with the manager at Evans Groceries on Tuesday, who told me all violations are now corrected and he showed me the health department paperwork to back it up.Health Dept Link: http://www.sanantonio.gov/health
