The Histogram is a very valuable and useful tool that every photographer should know in order to expose correctly. It allows you to get the correct exposure in every shot, its value does not depend on screen brightness or guessing the exposure from the lcd on the back of your camera, it will give you an accurate representation of the exposure of your image every single time.
