Drug market crisis in Seattle's University District prompts call for city intervention

Описание: An entrenched and escalating drug market is creating chronic public safety issues in Seattle’s University District, according to neighbors and local businesses - and now there is a push to get help from the highest levels of city government.

Much of the drug-related activity is focused on a two-block radius around N 47th St and University Way, which is part of the newly established Stay Out of Drug Area (SODA) zone that allows police to trespass people involved in narcotics activity.
