The Springboks haven't beaten Ireland since their 19-13 win in Gqeberha on 25 June 2016, a game where hooker Bongi Mbonambi made his Test debut.
Since then, Ireland have beaten South Africa on three consecutive occasions in Dublin (twice) and Paris.
