The Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle is an easy 4-step process for continuous improvement!
The PDCA cycle is versatile enough to be used when solving a problem, changing a process or achieving a new target condition.
Plan - Step 1 in PDCA is to create a plan on how to accomplish your goal.
Do - Step 2 in the PDCA Cycle is to DO what you planned, and collect data!
Check - Step 3 in the PDCA Cycle is the check and study (analyze) the results of the experiment conducted in the DO phase. The goal here is to learn something new about your process or problem.
Act (Adjust) - Step 4 in the PDCA Cycle is to take action based on what you learned in step 3, or make adjustments to your original plan.
What really makes PDCA so powerful is its iterative nature - so continue spinning that wheel, and continue improving!
