I penned (voiced to my cell phone notepad) this song’s lyrics on a drive today from Philly to Nashville. I finished up applying Ai orchestration and vocalization right before stopping briefly at a fast food restaurant on the highway in White Pine, Tennessee.
I asked the gracious young lady working there if she would mind listening to my song and see what she thought. She said sure. Long story short, she liked it, and she said it reminded her of a male friend of hers that died in a motorcycle accident (I now know was in June ‘24.), to which I wish to say to her, their friends, and his family, how sorry I am for their loss of the 17-year-old young man. It’s a horrible tragedy.
But, she said that his life, even cut short as it was, impacted others around him in a bigger way than most people even realize. And this song brought her some comfort and remembrance in the short time that she was able to listen to it. I’m so glad.
For that reason, I’m posting it right now without lyrics, because she needs it. May it bring her comfort. And I will personally remember her, and those affected in my thoughts and prayers.
I hope this song brings comfort to any of you out there that might be hurting for your own reasons as well, and that it will help you appreciate the little things that makes life and others so special.
