Описание: When the woman’s daughter eats all of the pies, she sings about it and is overheard by a king. When the king asks her to repeat the song, she is embarrassed at her daughter’s behavior, so she changes the words, claiming that her daughter spun five skeins. The king is impressed and asks to marry the daughter. He says she will live in luxury for 11 months, but during the last month, she will have to spin five skeins every day or he’ll kill her. So they are married and the first eleven months are wonderful. On the first day of the twelfth, he locks her in a room with a spinning wheel and some flax. She begins to sob and a small man shows up to ask what’s wrong. She tells him her situation and he offers to spin for her. In exchange, she will have three chances every day to guess his name and if she doesn’t get it by month’s end, she will belong to him. She agrees, so every day, he shows up with five skeins and she guesses without success. On the last day, the king, realizing he will not have to kill her, joins her for dinner and tells her a story about a funny man he saw while hunting and he tells her the man’s name, which he overheard as Tom Tit Tot. So when the little man comes for the last time, she tells him his name and he disappears.
