Diners scream as fire 'started by drink sparkler' engulfs wall in Birmingham restaurant

Описание: A fire broke out at a restaurant in Birmingham burst after a sparkler in a customer's drink set fire to wall decorations, emergency services confirmed.

Footage shows terrified diners inside Caffe di Milano in Hurst Street as an inferno rages on Saturday, 4 February.

A restaurant staff member appears to use an ice bucket in an attempt to calm the blaze.

"It appears that a sparkler in a customer's drink had set fire to wall decorations," said West Midlands Fire Service.

The restaurant briefly closed before reopening on Tuesday, 7 February.
