These are the days of the week in tlhIngan Hol accompanied by some example sentences.
Hey! Did you know that the Klingon language is FULL of puns? The days of the week are no exception! They find their origin in the Beatles song "Lady Madonna" and "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!"
DaSjaj (boot day)...Monday's child has learned to tie his bootlace.
povjaj (afternoon day)...Tuesday afternoon is never-ending.
ghItlhjaj (manuscript day)...Wednesday morning papers didn't come.
loghjaj (space day)...Thursday night your stockings needed mending. (The Klingon word for socks is "paSlogh."
buqjaj (bag/pocket day)...Friday night arrives without a suitcase.
lojmItjaj (door day)...on Saturday at Bishops*gate*.
ghInjaj (monastery day)...on Saturday at *Bishops*gate.
Klingon weeks are only six days long so when Klingons encounter cultures that use more days, they name the additional days by numbers (e.g. jaj wa'=Day 1 [Sunday])
