CPCB plans to curb vehicular emissions to clean Delhi’s air - The News

Описание: In a bid to provide fresh air, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) plans to crack down on vehicle emissions and pollution from construction activities to clean up Delhi's air. The move came after the Supreme Court raps the pollution control board for their inconvenience in tackling city’s toxic menace.

The CPCB had met various stakeholders including RTI activists, citizen groups and NGOs. In a recent meeting, the board said that they are looking at curbing dust emission at construction sites. Developers are mandated to cover the entire construction site to keep air pollution at a standardized level. In addition, the board is planning to bring stringent norms to curb vehicular traffic, which henceforth, is causing menace in the Capital.
