David Langford presents at the 2016 Annual Deming Conference
Dr. Deming was famous for advocating the elimination of grading in schools and performance evaluations in the workplace. There may be consensus that these evaluation measures should be eliminated, however the concern always vocalized is ”What do we do instead?”
In this session, David P. Langford will relate a new way to work, think, talk and act when striving to create learning habits and improved behavior in students and teachers or workers and managers. Implementation Intentions is a process which involves setting specific targets for improvement with stated intentions specifying, time, duration, place and methods for tracking performance. The aim is to continually create Automatization through critical mass, building new habits and behaviors for learning that become automatic.
