It saves you space for handtraps and reduces the need to run bricks or Bystials, which are not as strong in a format full of Dracotail and Radiant Typhoon decks!

I think more people will shift to keeping Ash against stoping your fusion graveyeard plays now, similar to how ppl keep the Ash to stop Dracotail traps, because there are too many things to Ash that will still give the Branded player follow up even if you stop the initial play. It hinges however on the End Phase effects on their fusions. I recommend setting up your turn one plays to get an Albaz Fusion in the End Phase and then getting a Mercourior in hand to protect Albion the Branded Dragon's GY effect better, watch this video to see an easy way to do so.

It's more difficult to do so in Master Duel, but you can send Brigrand to the GY to protect your Albion the Branded Dragon effect in a similar manner. Too bad there's not Fallen of the White Dragon. YET.
