1. Do Your Worrying Before You Place Your Bet
The time for "worrying" (i. e. , prudence and thorough consideration) is restricted entirely to the planning stage or when making available resolutions. Once a decision is made and execution begins, you must relax, "dismiss absolutely all responsibility and care about the outcome".
2. Form the Habit of Consciously Responding to the Present Moment
The Creative Mechanism can only function in the "now". One must consciously practice concentrating entirely on the task at hand and fully experiencing the present environment to give the SM accurate, current data. By consciously focusing on today and letting go of tomorrow, you stop trying to live in a fictional future or past, relieving worry and anxiety.
3. Try to Do Only One Thing at a Time
Trying to handle multiple tasks simultaneously leads to mental confusion, feeling hurried, and anxiety, as the CM can only handle one job at a time. Realizing the truth that crowded hours still come one moment at a time relieves worry and stress.
4. Sleep On It
If you are stuck on a problem, you should dismiss it from your mind and go to sleep, allowing the Creative Mechanism to work independently of conscious interference. Dreams and subconscious work frequently result in ideas and solutions being presented upon waking.
5. Relax While You Work
Physical and mental relaxation must be continuously practiced and integrated into daily activity to reduce fatigue, tension, and anxiety, which interfere with the efficiency of the CM. You can achieve this by pausing momentarily to recall the sensations of deep relaxation you have practiced previously.
