Garbett Plateau is the best place to visit in monsoon near Mumbai. Trek beside lake, small river crossing, so many waterfalls, small climb. its a scenic rout. Nearest Railway station is Bhivpuri Road. you can reach Bhivpuri Or Dikasal Village By road also. If you are coming from Panvel New Mumbai then you have to go with Chauk phata-Karjat Phata rout and if you are coming from thane or mumbai western side then you have to go with airoli-shill phata-badlapur-neral rout.
After you reach Diksal Village you have to trek around 2hrs to SAGACHI WADI which is the base village of Garbett Plateau. After you reach SAGACHI WADI you have to trek 1hrs to reach GARBETT PLATEAU. this rout is so much stiff to climb. after you reach Garbett Plateau you can enjoy the view of valley, both side of plateau you can see lake or dam one is DHOME LAKE and another is MORBE DAM.
