I can’t believe I’ve come back here to BAHOS,
It’s been many years since I worked with this crew.
I’ve got dreams, I’ve got plans, but who knows what’s ahead?
Will they share my vision, or will it fall dead?

The cast, the crew, will they follow my lead?
Can I make magic? Or will doubt take seed?
The budget’s tight, my time is thin,
But here we go, let the show begin!

I want to create the best quality piece of art.

(CATHERINE enters, frantic)

CATHERINE:
Oh, this is a disaster, what are we gonna do?
No keys, no access! I’m freaking out, it’s true!
Who had the key? Scooter? Oh no, we’re stuck,
We’ll never rehearse, just my luck!

ROY:
Could this day get any worse? What a way to start!

ROY & CATHERINE:
It’s the beginning, the beginning,
We’re only at the start.
We’ll create something grand, if we don’t fall apart!
But the beginning, the beginning,
Is where the chaos starts!

(Enter SCOOTER, HEATHER, JO, & LAUREN)

SCOOTER:
Oh crap, I left the key at home,
But don’t worry, folks, I’m already gone!

HEATHER:
Oh great, Scooter saves the day,
But we’re still stuck here, by the way!

LAUREN:
I just want my moment, maybe today’s my chance!
I’m just the new girl, but I’m ready to dance!

(SUZY and STEVE enter):

SUZY:
I’m the star here, let’s not pretend,
But must we wait for this to ever end?

STEVE:
Yeah, can we start? We’re here to win!

(Enter DANIEL, a bit exasperated)

DANIEL:
I’m back in the chorus, same as before,
Never the lead, just part of the score.
Maybe this time, they’ll see what I’ve got,
But I’m not holding my breath, it’s my usual lot.

(Enter MAX, with flair, he does a twirl and kicks):

MAX:
Darling, don’t worry, I’ll make you all shine,
With my moves and flair, you’ll all look divine!
Formation, precision, let’s give it some zest,
Remember darlings, I only work with the best!

(Enter CHRIS, looking lost but confident):

CHRIS:
Hey, I’m here, I think I’m on time?
Not sure what’s happening, but I’ll be just fine!

(PATTY, BETH, JANE, the dance trio joining the group)

PATTY:
I’m just here to move my feet,
BETH:
Me too, but hey, it’s kinda neat!

ALL:
It’s the beginning, the beginning,
We’re only at the start.
We want to give our all, from the soul, from the heart.

Is where the fun will start!

(SCOOTER hurridly exits off stage in comical fashion)

SCOOTER (from offstage):
I’ll be right back! It’s gonna be quick!
