For us Ilocanos, kinakain din namin ang bunga ng malunggay hindi lang ang malunggay leaves. Ginisang Bunga ng Malunggay is a dish cooked with sweet potato (kamote) and sauteed with lots of tomatoes. It is authentic to cook Ginisang Bunga ng Malunggay with bagoong isda (fermented fish sauce) but this can be substituted with regular fish sauce.
