If we’re looking at what the Neo Egoist League arc represents in Blue Lock’s overarching narrative structure, it’s a moment of transition, a rite of passage where our cast of amateur high schoolers gets initiated into the world of professional footballers. And so, this analysis discusses the major conflicts of this arc revolve around various characters who are struggling to make this very transition, around players who are trapped in an eternal childhood and adults who have lost touch with their inner child. For Blue Lock’s egoists to launch a professional career, they must make a succesful figurative transition to adulthood – with the many complications that this entails.
