The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has said there is a link between AstraZeneca's COVID-19 vaccine and blood clots, but further research needs to be done to determine why it happens. Several European countries -- including Italy and Germany -- suspended use of the jab almost a month ago, but they resumed vaccinations after the EMA said the benefits outweighed the risks.
