In the woods near Ripon, North Yorkshire, is a large stonehenge looking 'temple'. Although you'd likely think it to be thousands of years old, the secret of this temple is that it is actually only 200 years old and is a 'folly', designed for nothing more than decorative purposes.
The Druids Temple was built around 1800 at the request of the wealthy William Danby. He hired a number of local unemployed workers, paid them a shilling a day, and created the stonehenge in the woods.
