When approached by Guy, our rider, I was initially hesitant to take on the build of a Yamaha XV750. It's no secret that it's not one of my favorite bikes to work on; I often find them oversaturated in the custom scene and underwhelming. However, Guy's passion and enthusiasm for creating a Purpose Built machine changed my mind. He had his heart set on his XV750 Midnight Special and arrived at our door ready to go with a trailer and a box of parts.
After our initial meeting and discussing the design, we got to work. The XV had to meet a few key criteria:
Improved performance and handling
Under-tail exhaust
A sharp and modern look
