Valentine’s Day is almost here and there’s a sweetness in the air. What better way to treat your sweetheart than with this delicious Red Velvet Latte. It has a surprise ingredient that adds a bright color and an earthy note that pairs so well with that rich red velvet cocoa flavor. Anyone would appreciate this lovely gesture!

Red Velvet Latte Recipe:

Ingredients.

1 tbsp of cocoa powder
1 tsp of sugar
½ tsp of Vanilla extract
1 tbsp of beet juice
2 tbsp of ground coffee
hot water / vietnamese coffee filter
1 cup steamed milk
whipped cream
sprinkles

In a mug I'll add the cocoa powder, sugar, vanilla, and beet juice. Then I'll mix well into a paste.

You can find cold pressed beet juice at any grocery store. I’ll mix it well with a spoon until it becomes this nice, red paste.

Next I’ll grind 2 tbsp of coffee beans, then I’ll take my vietnamese coffee filter, put it on top of my mug, add my ground coffee, then fill it up with hot water. I’ll let it percolate for a few minutes. Once that’s done I’ll add some steamed milk that I heated up in the microwave for about a minute, and fill my mug to the top. Finally I’ll top it with some whipped cream and a light touch of heart sprinkles.

Love love! Mmmm!! I can really taste that rich cocoa flavor and no, the beet does not taste weird at all, in fact it pairs really well with the cocoa and the coffee. It adds a unique depth of flavor to the coffee that is so delicious. You have to try it, or better yet, make one for yourself and for your Valentine. They’ll love it!
