Is your professional work in line with your deepest spiritual aspirations? Are you wondering what work would create this alignment? This is a challenging koan for every one of us, intimately related to our personal karma, and complicated by our modern cultural-economic system that aggressively attempts to compartmentalize our spiritual, emotional and professional spheres.

A framework for working with these questions can be found by discerning our deepest Spiritual Vows and extending them into the realms of Self, Work and Others. This allows us to uncover how our work can be truly and wholly in service, without bypassing our personal and relational dimensions of fulfillment. In this interactive workshop, Sensei Paul Gyodo Agostinelli will present a process for establishing a compass for exploration of professional path to help you actualize your Bodhisattva potential.  

Paul Gyodo Sensei is Founder and Spiritual Leader of Eon Zen Center. He took jukai with Taizan Maezumi Roshi in 1991 and received Dharma Transmission in 2015 from his teachers Shishin Wick Roshi and Roshi Shinko Perez, founders of the Great Mountain Zen Center. Gyodo Sensei has long and intimate experience with the main Zen practice styles of koan (Rinzai) and shikantaza (Soto), as well as the Great Heart Way developed by his teachers. After a 30-year career in Technology, during which he co-founded three tech startups, Paul Gyodo developed his Zen@Work Consultancy, offering Executive Coaching and cohort-based Catalyst Groups to the business community. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from Dartmouth College and a Master’s Degree in English Literature from the University of Chicago.
