A student-friendly explanation of the difference between bullying and ordinary conflict or fallouts.
Ideal for Anti-Bullying Week, tutor time, assemblies or PSHE lessons in secondary schools.
In this video we:
• Explain bullying using four key ideas: pain, repetition, fear and power imbalance
• Contrast bullying with everyday conflicts and fallouts between people
• Explore short scenarios and ask whether they are bullying or conflict
• Emphasise that all hurtful situations matter and should be taken seriously
Suggested use in school:
• Play the video in tutor time, PSHE or an assembly
• Pause after each scenario and ask students whether they think it is bullying or conflict and why
• Discuss how students can safely report concerns and what they can expect adults to do
