I travelled to this temple, which approx 65 years old, it's the biggest Manasa Mandir in Kolkata. The temple is located on the roadside of Lake Town. This is the biggest Manasa Temple I have ever seen. in this video you can experience Sandha Aroti.
This is a story behind the battle between an ancient merchant, Chand Saudagar and the snake goddess Manasa. The Marchant was a devotee of Shiva and he refused to acknowledge Manasa as a Deity.
Lake Town Manasa Mandir is not only the Biggest Manasa Temple (Mandir) in Kolkata, but it also features the Manasa Mangal Kavya through a beautiful display, which I have not seen anywhere. You can experience Manasa Mangal Kahini or Manasa Mangal Story through a nice painting. I have captured and described this Manasa Mangal Kahini in my Video.
