Many of today's analytics, ML and AI tools are not able to effectively read from the nested FHIR schema hindering proactive analysis, predictions and insight. By leveraging 'SQL on FHIR' in conjunction with data flattening methods users are able to interrogate their data using modern day, widely adopted tools. Additionally these techniques enable users to train their ML models directly from their nested FHIR schema without parallel workflows. These approaches allow us to help customers more effectively adopt FHIR as part of their organizational strategy and re-use their existing reporting, analytics and AI ecosystems without significant infrastructure changes. In this session, Erik Wallace demonstrates the workflow in action, showcasing a handful of analytics and ML use-cases that are common across the industry and can be solved for using everyday tools.
