Saving Weight! My Swing Out Spare Tire Build for my 4Runner

Описание: Follow along while I build my own DIY swing out spare tire carrier for my overland 4Runner. I wanted a swing out bumper that didnt add hundreds of pounds of steel to carry my spare tires and fuel cans. I hope you enjoy!

2022 Update - This is a video with my old 4Runner. I do not plan to make any kits for this as time and life is too busy at the moment. I hope this encourages you all to think out of the box when building your overland rig.

I purchased all of these parts from Amazon (I like their return policy! Haha!). All tube steel was all purchased from a local metal supply shop and the Angle/Plate was purchased from Home Depot. I could have saved some money by getting it all from the metal supply shop, but I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted and the shorter cuts made transportation easier.

As for a future kit, I unfortunately, dont have the time or resources to make. I do hope this inspires you to know you dont always have to buy whats already made. Get creative and think outside of the box!
