Welcome to 1lifeoneearth my name is kevin and today im gonna tell you 9 things to do in scotland

My friends and I spent a week filming a cinematic video in Scotland, and this is some of the stuff we did and some of the locations we shot at while we were there.

So lets get right into it

Number 1 Kilchurch Castle.

In my opinion This is the coolest castle of all the castles in scotland because it is publicly owned and not run as a money making business like some of the other ones. Here you can just walk around, climb into the castle, inside all of its walls and balconies, and it’s all free. It’s also in the middle of a beautiful field so you can really get a feel for what it was like back in the day because nothing has changed, theres no roads or traffic or any other houses or anything, so it’s cool like that.

Number 2: Castle Stalker

Is also a castle, this one was featured in the Monty Python which I realize now I really need to re-watch because I havent seen it in like 20 years... When we got there, I had this crazy plan which involved swimming to the castle. The water surrounding this island is actually ocean water, and it was absoluutley freezing, ice cold.... me and my brother tried to swim to it, got very much less than half way, and realized we would probably get hypothermia and or drown or not make it back if we made it there... so sadly we had to scrap that plan.. Maybe we will try again someday.

Number 3: The Storr

I did a whole separate video on the old man of storr, its an out of this world hike on alien landscape in the isle of sky. truly a one of a kind hike with stunning views. Make sure to check out this location if you go to scotland.

Number 4: The Quiraing

I also did a whole separate video on the quiraing. Another absolutly incredible hiking location up in the isle of sky with landscape views unlike anything Ive seen on any other continent. A truly spectacular location full of green grassy rolling hills, cliffs, caves, and one of the best locations for photography in the world.

Number 5: (SPEED ROUND)

Glenfinnan Viaduct: a place you can do some very light hiking next to the train bridge thing featured in award-winning movies such as harry potter, did that win any awards, I don’t think so...

6 Devils pulpit, a cool little gully thing you can climb down and hike into, a very strange, weird, but interesting place to visit if you don’t mind getting your boots wet.

7 glencoe pass. a beautiful stretch of landscape with a road running through it, probably a great location for some hard core, off trail adventuring, but sadly we didn’t have time so I just took a picture of michael standing in the middle of the road.

8 Loch Ness, if you’re an american, you cant really visit Scotland without seeing the Location where the infamous Loch Ness monster lives, CAN YOU!!?? (rawr) we were there and we didn’t see the monster but we did see a dead chicken in the water, which was weird.

9: Random epic camping spots. One of the most memorable things we did was find really weird locations to camp in scotland. Sometimes on a cliff on the edge of the ocean where no one could bother us except for the occasional sheep. (baaahh)


10: Glen Etive (Dalness Estate) – James Bonds House

We drove all the way to the Dalness Estate in an area known as Glen Etive which actually took quite a long time and was pretty far out of the way. But as a big time james bond fan, I knew we couldn’t miss this opportunity. Glen etive is basically just a very beautiful series of green valleys and small mountains. This is the location from the movie SkyFall and it was portrayed to be the childhood home of james bond.
