Описание: Ridge Racer was originally developed for the Namco System 22 arcade system in 1993. It was later ported to the Sony PlayStation and was one of the console's launch titles releasing in 1994 in Japan and alongside the console in 1995 in America and Europe.

It's notable for being the first arcade video game with 3D texture-mapped graphics. The game had a highly positive reception with the main points of praise being the graphics, audio, and drifting mechanics. A lack of a multiplayer mode was a criticism however.

The game doesn't clearly show it, but you can save your unlocks and load them next time you play. The buttons to access the rudimentary save system are found in the leaderboard section of the options.

Another neat trick, not shown in this, is that you can play your own music instead of the excellent original soundtrack. Once the game has fully loaded into RAM you can swap out the disc for another CD. Tracks 1-6 play during races, 7 during the demo, and track 8 in the menu and replays.
