How To Sync Topo and Hunting Maps on Garmin inReach Explorer+

In this video we'll show you how you can load on your Garmin inReach Explorer+ Additional map layers. By default, you will have the Delorme topo maps pre-loaded onto the device. However you can specify additional layers, including hunting management maps on your inReach.

Note that as of Aug 2017 you cannot load Garmin maps onto the device. This will accept at this time only Delorme specific maps.

PROCESS
1. You'll need to log into your inReach portal and go to the MAP tab. On the left corner, you should see GET MORE MAPS. Click on that tab and you'll be able to see which topographic or hunting maps are available to sync on your inReach device.

2. Browse to a state or province and select to sync either: delorme topo map, digital atlas of the earth and openstreetmap

3. Sync your inReach device while plugged in via USB cable to your computer to sync the maps onto your device. This should take a few minuted depending on how many maps tiles you selected.

Once done, you can go to the MAPS screen on your inReach and press the MENU button and select MANAGE MAPS. From there you can check on/off the map layer you want to make visible.
