Описание: In this episode, we travel in our converted Ford transit campervan, with our dog, Twyla and make our way to Jamieson / Mansfield in Victoria, Australia. We enjoy two nights free camping at Skipworth Reserve, Jamieson.

We were camping this weekend to celebrate my youngest brother’s 40th birthday. My sister, Terry, and nephew, Hayden, join us on this adventure, camping in the new tent for the very first time.

In this episode, we make campfire jaffles and show you how to make a rustic ranch potato salad and some delicious Coca-Cola chicken niblets. As always, we take you around the camping site and share with you what we get up to over the weekend.

On the way home, we stop at Mansfield where we take my nephew Hayden to the lolly shop, visit the local bakery for lunch, and do a bit of retail therapy in the fishing, hunting, and camping store.

Skipworth Reserve camping area is very popular with campers, fishermen, birdwatchers and outdoor enthusiasts. It is a great base for exploring the nearby goldfield history. This spot is next to the Goulburn River, which allows you to relax while listening to the tumbling water as it flows by.
With excellent access to the river, this site offers a great spot to put your canoe or kayak in and head out for a of day paddling. There is ample room at the grassy campgrounds although like most nice spots can get extremely busy in the peak periods and its first in best dressed. The campground offers firepits and 2 long drop toilets.

Jamieson is a small town in Victoria, Australia. It is located at the junction of the Goulburn River and Jamieson River, 193 kilometres north-east of Melbourne. The name is believed to have been derived from George Jamieson, a shepherd who grazed sheep in the area in the 1850s. The historic High Country town of Jamieson has two pubs, one being the Courthouse Hotel and the other Jamieson Brewery which is famous for its raspberry beer. Fuel is also available in town along with a general store and a cafe that is only open on weekends (maybe check opening hours). The Kevington Pub (circa late 1800's)which is the last original pub between Jamieson and Woods Point.

Mansfield, is a small town in the foothills of the Victorian Alps in the Australian state of Victoria. It is approximately 180 kilometres north-east of Melbourne by road.
