Описание: Southwest Florida has a wealth of ways to get outside and get a first hand look at the flora and fauna this area has to offer.

This video starts off at the Naples Botanical Garden where Donna McGinnis, President & CEO takes you through their display gardens as you experience this subtropical growing zone with plants from all over the world.

The Naples Botanical Garden has four primary display gardens:

1) The Kapnick Brazilian Garden which is designed around a beautiful mosaic by Roberto Burle Marx as well as a beautiful waterfall.
2) The Kapnick Caribbean Garden is full of tropical plants that grow there as well as fruits and the other foods that are eaten all throughout the region .
3) The Lea Asian Garden focuses on Southern China, Vietnam & the Phillipines which have a very tropical climate. You'll see temples and reflections of the architecture that are important in that part of the world. You'll also see the amazing trees and flowering plants that you might see in museums all over the world
4) Finally, you'll finish your tour with the Scott Florida Garden. This is where they showcase palm trees, plumeria, flowering plants and the water features that are really beautiful.

Next up is Rookery Bay National Research Preserve which stretches across 110,000 acres of pristine mangrove forests, uplands and protected waters. Noah Valentstine, Secretary of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection takes you the following areas:

1) Rookery Bay Learning Center where you'll find touch tanks and family-friendly activities inside.
2) The local trails where you can hike and experience the outdoors.
3) Finally, you can get out on the water with the Friends of Rookery Bay and get not only get a tour of the area, but get out and enjoy it.
