The Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane says she will initiate contempt proceedings against both the Mayor of Cape Town, Patricia de Lille, and the Premier of the Western Cape - Helen Zille.
Mkhwebane says she had sent out a subpoena for them to join her on a walkabout at Masiphumelele near Fishhoek. The township faces a number of challenges which include inadequate housing, proper sanitation and land availability.
