You step onto the factory floor, and from start to finish, you witness the captivating production process of a STABILA quality spirit level. The
journey begins with the meticulous quality control of each aluminium profile, ensuring that only high-quality, perfectly straight profiles are used. These profiles then undergo precise cutting and milling to create recesses for the vials and hand-grips.

Next, a long-lasting surface protection is applied as the profiles are sprayed with a powder coating in the distinctive STABILA yellow. The yellow sprayed profiles then go through a heating process where the powder coating is bonded under heat and hardened, ensuring a durable and long-lasting finish.

Each profile is then imprinted with essential information, including details about the spirit level type, length, vial accuracy, and the presence of anti-slip end caps. This step ensures that every spirit level comes with the necessary specifications clearly marked. Meanwhile, the vials undergo their painstaking process. Starting as high-quality acrylic glass granules, they are carefully formed with precision into the initial shape of the vials, boasting high-transparency and hard-wearing properties. The blocks are then ground and milled to achieve the vial‘s precise form. Afterward, they are filled with fluorescent vial fluid to optimize readability.

The tour reaches its most critical phase as the vials are inserted into their holders. Using synthetic resin, the vial parts will be permanently bonded to the profile, creating a strong and reliable connection.

But the process doesn’t end there. The vials are now meticulously adjusted to the measuring surface and thoroughly checked for accuracy. This step ensures that each vial is perfectly calibrated, guaranteeing the utmost precision in the spirit level’s readings. Once the adjustments are complete, the resin hardens, the vials are then permanently locked into position, ensuring their stability and long-lasting accuracy. In the final assembly stage, hand grips, a hanging hole and end caps are meticulously added to give the spirit level its finishing touches.
