Binondo in Manila is recognized as the world's oldest Chinatown.
Foodies of all ages flock here to sample authentic Chinese dishes and delicacies—many of which have become staples in the Filipino diet. In 1912, a Chinese businessman opened a small stall in the heart of Ongpin, selling hopia, tikoy, and glutinous balls, and named it Eng Bee Tin. This small business has endured to become one of Chinatown's most beloved food stalls.
Today, we are honored to be joined by Royce Gerik Chua, the 4th-generation operations manager of Eng Bee Tin from the Chua family.
