Описание: A close analysis of Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King opening scene, in which Smeagol discovers the ring and changes into Gollum (Andy Serkis). I wanted to make a video essay breaking down a scene and, despite many good options, I decided on a breakdown of the darkest scene in the trilogy. There is not only a lot to be said about the film techniques themselves but also the emotion and psychology of Gollum. What makes his life so tragic and his death perhaps redeeming?
